We have issued a maintenence release of Cocentric today containing a couple of hotfixes. This is nothing to worry about and the changes will probably be noticed by only a couple of users who have been experiencing minor issues.
More exciting will be the major release we are working on. This has so many new features and changes that everyone will notice! You will be able to do so much more directly in Cocentric and we’ve listened to the feature requests coming in thick and fast so you’ll be able to see if yours has made it into the final cut.
We’ll update you as soon as we can with a firm Cocentric 2.0 release date. In the meantime if you have any problems or suggestions remember to use the Support and Feature Requests areas of this forum to have your questions answered and help us continue improving Cocentric.
We now have a couple of companies using Cocentric on Macintosh computers. Cocentric is a Windows application so you need to be running Windows on the Mac. One way to do this which seems to work well is with Parallels.
We have not run into any serious problems with Macs yet, but for somebody like me who has always worked with Windows, it was going to be the simple that tripped me up.

The latest version of Cocentric was released today. This means that all users will be asked to download the new version when they log in. There are some great new features including Calendars synchronised with Microsoft Outlook, email tagging, coloured lists, multiple addresses, and a whole lot more.
As you’d expect with Cocentric, there’s no charge for this upgrade. All our customers can enjoy the new features and look forward to more in future.

Cocentric version 1.1 will now be available at the end of June. It was previously scheduled for April however we have taken the decision to hold off release to enable us to include some additional features requested by a recent user. These are many small enhancements that put together will add value to the whole Cocentric user community.
New features will also include the much requested Delivery note.
Cocentric version 1.1 is on schedule for April release.
We are currently running our own business using the great new features and cannot wait to release these to the growing group of companies using Cocentric. They’ll all get immediate use of the new calendar and appointment setting functions, and will now be able to synchronise with Sage 50 Accounts.
These and other new features are available at no extra cost with this hosted software solution for small and medium sized companies (SMEs).

Congratulations to COS Bookkeeping & Consultancy. They have become the first Cocentric Sales partner to get a customer into the free trial phase.
COS have been working with this importer of chemicals for some time as a Sage consultant and wanted to help them automate the rest of their business.
Their customer has a complex delivery process with goods coming in from abroad, and also wants to manage individual batches of the same product for their customers. Cocentric is the ideal choice. A customisable delivery workflow solves the first problem, and products of this nature are easily dealt with using Cocentric’s product variants and user defined custom fields.
The company had been looking for a solution but couldn’t find anything that was flexible enough to meet their needs AND that was affordable. This is becoming quite a common theme for Cocentric.
Following the official launch of Cocentric, we’ve started to see real businesses registering and downloading their free trial. We’ve had businesses with only 1 person to established manufacturing organisations. We’ve even had a very welcome enquiry from a company in South Africa.
I’ve been visiting a lot of these personally to answer questions and to make sure that they can get the most from Cocentric.
The consistent comment I’ve been hearing is “I’ve been looking for something like this and I didn’t think it existed, and certainly not for this price!”
Another comment is “and what else do I have to pay”, followed by astonishment when the answer is truly “Nothing”.
